Gold Needle (Microneedling Radiofrequency)
What Is Gold Needle?
Gold Needle is a skin renewal and tightening treatment based on microneedling radiofrequency, in which radiofrequency energy is delivered to controlled depths of the skin through micro-needles.
The aim is to create a heating effect in the tissue beneath the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production and improving skin quality.
Unlike surface radiofrequency methods, Gold Needle delivers energy directly to the target tissue, allowing deeper layers to be treated.
How Does Gold Needle Work?
Micro-needles enter the skin at set depths and radiofrequency energy is delivered to the tissue through them. During this process:
- A controlled rise in temperature occurs
- Collagen fibres contract
- Fibroblast activity is stimulated
- New collagen production is supported over time
This biological process helps the skin become firmer, more lifted and smoother.
What Is Gold Needle Used For?
Gold Needle radiofrequency may be chosen for:
- Skin laxity and loss of elasticity
- Fine and moderate wrinkles
- Acne scars
- Stretch marks
- Uneven skin texture and visible pores
Depending on the skin’s needs, it can be used on its own or as part of a combined treatment plan.
Which Areas Can Be Treated?
Gold Needle has a wide range of uses on the face and body. The most commonly treated areas are:
- Face
- Neck
- Décolletage
- Jawline
- Areas with acne scars
- Body areas with stretch marks
The treatment area and depth are determined individually according to the anatomy of the area.
How Many Sessions Are Needed?
Gold Needle radiofrequency is usually planned as:
- Once a month
- 3 sessions in total
Depending on the skin’s needs, maintenance sessions may be recommended after the course.
Is Gold Needle Painful?
Before treatment, a local anaesthetic cream is applied to the area to reduce discomfort during the procedure.
During treatment, the energy level and needle depth are adjusted with the person’s comfort in mind.
What Can Be Expected After Gold Needle?
The following may occur temporarily after treatment:
- Redness
- Mild swelling
- Skin sensitivity
- Superficial crusting or flaking
These effects usually settle within a few days.
Aftercare
- Keep the skin clean and do not use cosmetic products for the first 24 hours
- Moisturise the skin regularly
- Avoid sun exposure for at least 1–2 weeks
- Do not take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs unless advised by your doctor
When Do Results Appear?
- In the first days, an early lifting sensation may occur as collagen fibres contract
- Effects related to new collagen production develop over the following weeks
- Optimal results usually become visible within 2–3 months
How long results last may vary depending on skin structure and the ageing process.
Natural Appearance and Patient Safety
The core approach of Gold Needle treatment is to achieve controlled renewal while respecting the skin’s biological structure.
The entire assessment and treatment process is planned individually, with patient safety as the priority.
